The 2011 BET Awards Show gets an average score from me. The pre-show needs revamping. It’s boring with too many mediocre rap/hip hop performances. The most essential goal of any awards show is to keep it moving with entertaining moments. Too many boring performances tend to put the audience in a self induced snooze or in a another place other than the awards show. How about less–I don’t know what the heck they are singing about rap/hip hop performances–to more soulful and meaningful songs. Don’t get me wrong the show was good and everybody on a whole looked fantastic, but the performances could be so much better. One final note—-the show was too long for what was covered.
