Tyra Banks shared some behind the scenes photos from her latest photo shoot in which she quickly makes fun of her own “juicy muffin top.”
Banks has always been working to send a message to young women all across the globe to love their bodies, and love their imperfections.
Just a matter of days ago, the supermodel came out about her own insecurities as a child for being too skinny and often looking sick and frail.
Now she wants her fans to see that she doesn’t mind showing off her “muffin top.”
The America’s Next Top Model host posted a picture of her during her latest shoot with Mark Liddell.
The 38-year-old was dressed in a pair of jeans along with a matching denim shirt that was tied in a knot, exposing her rather trim tummy.
Despite the slim appearance of the model’s stomach, she posted a caption under the pic that read, “Check out my juicy muffintop on my back! #AssMaintenance #PerfectIsBoring.”
The message that Banks was aiming to send by loving her imperfection is by all means a great message, but perhaps this wasn’t the right way to do it.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel’s “muffin top” is barely enough to be called a pudge.
If Tyra continues to criticize her less than an inch of fat on her side and back, young girls who are even thicker may consider their bodies to be unacceptable.
Of course, there is still nothing wrong with wanting to strive for the best body possible as long as it is attained through healthy means.
The former talk show host exemplified her own work out ethics as she took a makeup free jog through New York, striving to stay in shape.
The fun loving model posted a few more pics from her photo shoot, poking fun at the fact she had so many wigs she had to alternate between on set.
“My girl @kimblehaircare is giving me pigtails… but my other hair is waiting patiently in the background,” she tweeted jokingly.
Kim Kimble, from the reality show LA Hair, took control of styling the wigs and making them look perfectly natural both in person and on camera.
Despite how the message may be received, either way you can’t help but commend Tyra on promoting confidence and high self esteem especially for young women in today’s society.
