Chrissy Lampkin Takes Credit For Launching ‘Love & Hip Hop’

UPDATE-Love & Hip Hop reunion special will surprise more than a few people. VH1 has opted for a different reunion style that will not feature Chrissy Lampkin, Kimbella, Yandy Smith and the other ladies going head to head – instead creator Mona Scott-Young interviews them individually. Reportedly there was so much tension that many cast members refused to be in the same room with one another – not much of a reunion, right?
In the current reunion clip available (see below) it’s clear Chrissy Lampkin believes she’s the boss and Yandy must fall in line. Last year Chrissy revealed VH1 originally approached her fiance Jim Jones for a show but nothing came of it. Check out some excerpts from an interview she did with Mstrendy.com,
“Well, orginially VH1 gave Jimmy a show and it didn’t really work out. His idea of a reality show and what the crew had in mind wasn’t the same thing, so he was kind of not interested. But we had been doing this for a minute. We had shot two pilots and VH1 liked my personality. We were having the hardest time getting it off the ground and Mona Scott Young came onboard to help Jim and I out, and it morphed into a show with me. They went and got some girls and put it together, and it turned out to be a perfect match; a scenario that felt good.”
Lampking added, “I don’t want to say it was centered around me, but I was the first one there. Everybody else got added on. It follows everybody’s story. I’m trying to be fair and be humble, but definitely they went and got girls and we all clicked.
Fair and humble ended when Ms. I’m-all-about-my-checks Yandy joined season two.

i think the show need a reality check and the ladies need to move on to other things such as concentrate on being a respectful lady and jimmy jones you need to admit that yandy was great for you and your lady you allowed to say to much at the wrong time but jimmy you made your bed with that evil lady so now you got to lay down in it . you cant change no h$$ into a housewife she gonna get you thats her mo.
Chrissy is ghetto trash…as much as #teamchrissy tries to back her up she still comes out fighting, name calling and being overly dramatic. so i know for a fact half of her followers are ghetto hoodrats and the other half are chicks who make a career of looking for men to pay their bills. END OF STORY…it just kinda is what it is,,,,AND F.Y.I all that you and jimmy pitched the show and mona magically came along to help?? Tell the truth! Yandy pitched the show as Keeping Up With the Joneses! When production got to fake for Jim Jones he told them he didn’t want no part of it, but he wanted Chrissy to have something to do (since she sits on her ass all day). So Yandy went to Mona who was looking to pitch a show about women and hip hop. They put their ideas together and got love and hip hop. So please since everyone says Chrissy is so real do not cut of the middle man that connected Jim Jones and Mona. I do feel mona didn’t allow it to be an actual reality show because it was made to be what we as viewers thought was interesting. Chrissy you are who you are. You decided to fight numerous times on tv. What did you think they would show? Chrissy please she boosted that drama with Yandy to that point because she knows it would make good tv. The more viewers the more the check would be. Chrissy is fake making it seem like this isn’t what she wanted or what she expected. That is pure BULLSHIT! She is 42 and far from stupid she knew what she was doing. As far as Chrissy being such a strong real “ride or die”. What’s so ride or die about being with a famous rapper who wipes your ass everytime you decide to take a dump? a lot of chicks would stay with a dude in that situation. She isn’t doing shit thats hard. I amnot hating on Chrissy it is what it is. She is pretty and has a strong opinion. I just don’t think its cool she walking around like she runs something when she has NEVER (and do your research) NEVER accomplished shit! Humble yourself you are very blessed to be where you are from what you came from. Walking around fighting and cursing doesn’t make you real. The only thing that makes you is immature. Jim Jones shame on you. I understand you love your girl regardless of who she is, but you never allow a woman to call your mother a bitch and not make her apologize for it. That will never be justified. It was classless which Chrissy does so well. This is my opinion on the woman and the people who follwer her as if shes some accomplished woman. You don’t agree fine! Once again this is my opinion and mine only. I just don’t like her. She is big headed and insecure. I think she needs to worry about getting pregnant before her biological clock runs out or what she is going to do “if” Jim realizes the woman he is going to marry is 10 years older than he is and that when hes 40 she will be 50 and he isn’t sure about her anymore. Don’t act like these rappers or anyone for that matter is completely faithful or sure about their relationship (Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore). Since it’s all good that she doesn’t do anytihng and he supports her what about a prenup and divorce? She won’t be a hoodrat in Gucci anymore just a hoodrat. Thats just what it is. Don’t be mad at me.

WHY does it have to get to a “tug of war” about who did what who started what who’s the boss blah blah blah – why all the bitch-name calling – why all of this?? why cant the characters in the show just enjoy its success & move the hell on … Love & Hip Hop, I think, is the highest rated reality show. if its not the “highest”, its “among the highest”. why does it have to come to all of this ego & “i’m the boss” & “i did this”, etc., bitch-calling, drama & struggle for power, whatever? smh damn shame ….
and yea chrissy IS starting to get on my nerves – i really liked her ALOT at first but everytime i turn around she’s going at somebody’s NECK
this show sucks, and the new reunion format is the absolute WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow…i didn’t think they could fall off any lower, but they proved me wrong yet again.
