Blue Ivy’s godmother is NOT Oprah Winfrey. For much of the day Thursday media queen Oprah was hailed as the godmother of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Alas bestie Gayle King has swooped in to clarify the rumor. King told her morning talk show CBS This Morning that the rumor is false.
“It’s absolutely not true that she’s the godmother. She’s friends with them, of course, and likes them both very much. She’s working on sending them a baby gift. She hasn’t even had time to send a baby gift because she’s been away.”

Then Gayle pulls away from her staunch stance stating, “Let me just say, if (that report is) true, it is news to her. It is news to her. You know, she was heading to South Africa when the baby was born.”
Well Oprah may not be Blue Ivy’s godmother but she will still be spoiled sweet by her mom Beyonce and countless others!
