Kristin Cavallari on Dancing With The Stars: “It is what it is. That’s the thing with Dancing with the Stars, you never know. It’s clearly not a dance competition!”
That was Kristin’s rant about her shocking elimination from DWTS to Us Magazine.
During a post elimination interview with Good Morning America, Cavallari, who is best known for her reality TV appearances on such shows as The Hills and Laguna Beach, expressed her confusion by stating;
“Who knows what really happened. Maybe my most memorable year just wasn’t that great compared to some of the other stories.”
Monday night’s episode called for each celebrity to perform a dance that evoked the most memorable year of their lives. Cavallari elected to perform a highly charged Samba set to the tune of Beyonce’s Crazy In Love which was
intended to orchestrate her senior year of high school where she decided to forgo college in order to begin her acting career.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Cavallari admitted that it was difficult to compete with her other co-stars compelling stories.
“Maybe I didn’t have a good enough story. It’s hard to compete with memorable years. Mine was I graduated from high school and moved to L.A.”
Cavallari’s choice for memorable years was even more puzzlingly given she could have chosen anything ranging from her parents divorcing to her own relationship debacle with Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cuttler, who was surprisingly on hand to cheer her on.
Although her choice for compelling stories may have been lacking; especially compared to co-stars such as J.R who chose the year he was severely injured by an Iraqi land mine or Chyna Phillips who selected the year she stopped abusing drugs, it was however good enough to earn her a score of 24 which should have placed her in top ranking for the remainder of the competition.
But alas, not even a 24 could save Cavallari from the chopping block as she made an unexpected yet gracious exit as she expressed the following sentiment during an interview with People;
“I’ve had such an incredible experience. I’ve made new friends. We’ve all become such a little family. I’m a huge fan of the show. I’ll continue to be a huge fan of the show.”
So long Cavallari. Next time if you can’t think of a more compelling story than your senior year…try making something up. Who do you think should have gotten the boot last night?
